Biography

Dr. Chen Zou is a Senior Software Engineer at Google, currently working on EdgeTPU compiler, to optimize neural network inference, including LLM, on the EdgeTPU of Pixel phones.

Chen lays a broad interest in different layers of the computer systems, including computer architecture, compiler, database but with concentration in hardware accelerators and their software systems.

Chen obtained Ph.D. in the Computer Science department of the University of Chicago under the advisement of Prof. Andrew A. Chien on 2022. Chen obtained B.S. in Microelectronics at Fudan University on June 2016, and M.S. in Computer Science at University of Chicago on June 2019.
